A website to help us keep in touch

Last night, I slept without the band that holds my arm in place. I woke up with one of the straps on my sling in the wrong place. It had slipped out from under my forearm, so it was actually pulling my arm backward. I noticed some discomfort. I drove Kevin to school. By the time I got there, I was pretty sore. I went to the Dough Boys bakery on Main St. and drank some coffee. My arm actually got so painful that I canceled everything and went home. I took two Vicodin, which is the first time is several days that I took an opiate. I knew I couldn't work then. Using various means of distraction, I waited until I felt better. Yvonne was nice to me. I talked a bit with Liz while she fed the horses. I petted the cats. I got out a CD folder – one of the big zip-up kinds that holds 128 CD's – and arranged all of my computer drivers, utilities, and miscellaneous other software. I've been meaning to do that for about five years now, but previously never got bored enough to actually do it.

Now,I feel OK, and I'm on call, so no more opiate. I will have to go in to the hospital on the weekend, both days. I should be in pretty good shape by then.

Yvonne's appetite is getting better. That is good, because people have been so nice to us, we have some decent food in the house.
